“I love building things from scratch, with a touch of rebellion and defiance of limits.”

Chengxi Taylor is a tech founder living in London.

Born in a mountain near Tibet and shaped by seven years in New York before coming to Oxford, she believes true innovation starts by breaking boundaries.

Projects

Quiet work. Steady progress. A mind devoted to what’s next.

Chengxi Taylor is a London-based technologist and founder working at the intersection of AI, poetic systems, and human intuition. Her work transforms complex technologies into accessible, emotionally resonant ideas.

Born near the mountains of Tibet, Chengxi’s early worldview was shaped by a deep relationship to nature, language, and systems that couldn’t always be seen. After seven years in New York - where she worked in finance and earned her CFA certification - she went on to complete her MBA at Oxford, with a focus on the ethical potential of deep tech.

Over the past eight years, Chengxi has helped shape a series of early-stage ventures - many experimental by nature, each revealing something about what it means to build with care:

  • Satori - a large-format 3D printer aimed at making advanced prototyping more accessible in medicine and engineering

  • Miiji - a high-fidelity facial expression tracking system built outside the limitations of hardware

  • Kirin - developed text-to-3D diffusion models enabling language to become form

  • MyMiniFactory - served as CEO of one of the largest platforms for guaranteed 3D printable objects

  • L’Essayeur - a personal jewelry brand featured in Vogue and debuted at London Fashion Week

Previous ventures served as iterative foundations - refining the vision she now leads through General Reasoning, a new AI startup focused on reinforcement learning and agent environment. Her vision is to build universal artificial intelligence.

For Chengxi, innovation is not just about building faster - it’s about asking better questions.

Values

I build deep tech with a human voice.
In a world of machines, I stand for vulnerability, emotion, and beauty - the parts of us no algorithm can replicate.
True progress isn’t linear. It moves in circles - intuitive, evolving, imperfect.
Humanity isn’t our weakness. It’s our power.

Mission

To create technology that serves people - without stripping away their creativity or depth.
I’m not here to win the AI race.
I’m here to build tools that feel clear, honest, and human.

Vision

A future where technology connects, not competes.
Where machines extend us - not replace us.
Where progress is measured in meaning, not just speed.
